A few top tips:

🚲 Pedal Cycle Safety Advice

To help reduce the risk of cycle theft, officers shared the following tips:

Always lock your bike, even if you're leaving it for a moment. Use a D-lock and secure both the frame and wheels.

Register your bike on a national database like BikeRegister.

Park in well-lit, busy areas and use designated cycle racks.

Remove accessories like lights or GPS devices when leaving your bike unattended.

Mark your bike with a UV pen or forensic marking kit to help identify it if stolen.

🏠 Burglary Prevention Advice

Residents were also given guidance on how to protect their homes:

Lock all doors and windows, even when you're at home.

Use timer switches to make your home look occupied when you're out.

Install motion-sensor lighting and consider a visible alarm system.

Keep valuables out of sight and avoid leaving keys near doors or windows.

If you haven't already, join β€œMy Community Voice” to stay informed and connected!

Many thanks,

PC COSTIN
